Town Hall Useage Notice

The Selectmen would like to remind everyone that if you want to use the Town Hall you need to fill out a use of hall contract and have it approved by the Selectmen. Also if wanting to borrow tables or chairs you also need to fill out a contract and have it approved by the Selectmen. Anyone who has a key to the Town Hall is not supposed to give the key to anyone else without approval of the Selectmen. If you have a key for coaching you are only allowed to use the hall for scheduled practices and games you need to fill out a contract for any other uses.

Notice of Filing – 2026

Filing to run for a Town of Monroe elected position will begin on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 and run through Friday, January 30, 2026.  Sign up with the Town Clerk’s office.

Open positions:

  • Town Treasurer (1)- 1 year term
  • Selectmen (1) – 3 year term
  • Trustee of Trust Funds (1)- 3 year term
  • Library Trustee (1) – 3 year term
  • Supervisor of the Checklist (1) – 6 year term
  • Sexton – Monroe Village Cemetery (1)- 1 year term
  • Sexton – North Monroe Cemetery (1)- 1 year term
  • Planning Board (1)- 3 year term
  • Board of Adjustment (1) – 5 year term
  • Budget Committee (3) – 3 year term

NO RECYLING AFTER 12/31/25

The Town of Littleton has informed us that they will no longer be accepting our paper, cardboard, or plastics after 12/31/25.  The Selectmen are working to find a solution but nothing will be determined before the end of the month.

As of 12/31/2025 any paper, cardboard, or plastics will NOT be accepted in our recycling.  Please add them to your normal trash for pickup.

Tires, metals, glass, and electronics will still be accepted as usual.

Notice of Public Hearing – Town of Monroe, NH

The Town of Monroe will hold a Public Hearing

for the 2026 Budget on Tuesday, February 10, 2026

beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Town Hall.

School Budget will be discussed first.

Supervisor of the Checklist Meeting

The Supervisor of the Checklist will meet on Tuesday, January 20. 2026 at 7:00 p.m..  in the Planning Room at the Town Office located at 152 Woodsville Road in Monroe.  No additions or corrections shall be made to the checklist after this session until Election Day on March 10, 2026.
